New Release! Whispers at Ghost Point by Deanna Jewel

Louise, thank you for inviting me to your blog. Readers, thank you for stopping in to check out my new release! I have a soft spot for lighthouses and romance so these two went together very well for me. I visited St Augustine Florida just before Halloween and got to tour the lighthouse and keeper's house for a ghost tour! No, we didn't see any ghosts but if you believe in orbs showing up in pictures, then yes, I captured them! I really wanted to experience something but didn't get to. The tour was still awesome!

We did take another tour of an historic jail in St Augustine. Now just before we entered, my camera worked just fine. Once inside, the flash wouldn't work no matter what I did! I was not happy at all. As soon as I stepped outside to look at the gallows, I could snap a photo with the flash...go figure!

Now back to my book. The e-book released on the December 24th at Smashwords and the December 27th at Amazon. By mid January, the e-book should be at all online stores. The print copies should be available by the end of January for those who love their paperbacks! Those will also be at Amazon, B& N and at my website store for those who may want an autographed copy!

Information about Whispers at Ghost Point can be found by visiting my webpage for Whispers - there you can read an excerpt, read Chapter1, watch the book trailer, and click on buy links if you're so inclined to find out what happens at the lighthouse with Dana and Mitch!

Author Interview with Jamie Salisbury - 5 More Days "Tudor Rubato" releases!

This week we join Jamie Salisbury in a quaint cottage nestled in the hills of the central lowlands of Scotland. Hope you brought your camera because the view is awesome and so are the kilt attired males in the nearest town. *winks*

Jamie hangs out with us all week and is featuring a giveaway. Details below!

Jamie Salisbury
Women's Fiction Author
 Contemporary & Historical Romance

Jamie Salisbury cannot imagine a time when she did not write. A skill that has served her well throughout her diversified professional career that encompassed public relations in and around the entertainment industpy, photography, editing, and special event planning.
An avid reader of history, biographies, and romance it's only natural that she prefers to write romances with characters said to be "so authentic they spring forth from the page and shake the reader's hand." No stranger to life threatening situations Jamie pulls from life experience when she creates her stories. Such as when her family had to escape Chile when she was a teen because of the unstable political climate.
Finding herself unable to walk great distances as a result of several foot surgeries, she started writing once again as a way to pass the time. With the completion of her first novel Perpetual Love she dove head first into the eBook and digital publishing paradigm. She couldn't be happier with her decision to grab the publishing industry by the shoulders and force it to pay attention to all she has to offer.

Louise: Jamie, welcome to our blog! We’re so excited you could join us for a chat. When did you first decide to submit your work to be published? Tell us what or who encouraged you to take this big step.

Jamie: After being rejected by traditional publishers a gazillion times, and after reading and researching self-publishing, I made the decision to take the plunge. And I haven't looked back.

Louise: Please tell us a little about your new release Tudor Rubato. And congrats and much success!

Jamie: Tudor Rubato is the sequel to Tudor Rose, part of my Tudor Dynasty series. It picks up where Tudor Rose left off and continues. There are a lot of unforeseen developments in this one. Things you would have never expected.

Louise: Love this cover.....Hot! Do you plan all your characters out before you start a story or do they develop as you write?

Jamie: Both. I keep a notebook for each book I'm planning to write, am working on or have written. I try to plan the characters out to a point. Once I start writing them however, they seem to write themselves.

Louise: How much research do you do for your books? Have you found any cool tidbits to share?

Jamie: Research always depends on the book. Location is always something that needs research. While doing some research for a Scottish piece I'm developing, I learned where my own Scottish ancestors came from in Scotland. I thought that was pretty cool.

Louise: What is your writing process? Do you outline, write by the seat of your pants (Pantser) or a combination of both?

Jamie: Both! While I do try to outline what or where I'd like to see a story go - a lot of times it is done by the seat of my pants. I will begin writing a scene and before I know it the book begins to write itself.

Louise: Do you write full time? What did you do before you became a writer or still do?

Jamie: Yes. I am fortunate enough to be in the position that I can write full time, although there are days that does not happen. Plus I have to do my own publicity. . ,
Before that? I had been an event planner/manager, in public relations. . .I still do the PR stuff for myself or if asked, and I'm developing some aspects of that to help other writers. Same goes for event planning/management.

Louise: Do you have a ritual when it comes to writing? Example….get coffee, blanket, paper, pen, laptop and a comfy place.

Jamie: No! The only thing I do first thing in the morning is make sure I have a pot of tea or coffee at my disposal, especially in the colder months.

Louise: Describe a typical writing day for you.

Jamie: I do all of my social media stuff first thing and do check it periodically during the day. If I have correspondence, emails I get them answered or done in the morning also - along with interviews, that sort of thing. Then I can focus on my writing. However! I can wake up with a idea and all of that is pushed aside until I get that idea written out!

Louise: Please give us a sneak peek at your future books. What’s on the horizon?

Jamie: Once Tudor Rubato is up and running I have the sequel to Timeless Sojourn, which is almost completed and I hope to have out in early 2013. Of course there is a sequel to Tudor Rubato, which is in development and has been started. . .I have a stand along novel I hope to get out in 2013, and a third and perhaps final sequel to the Perpetual series (my historical western series). Oh, and a Scottish romance. So as you can see I have a lot in the works!

Louiqe: What is your favorite genre to read and who is your favorite author?

Jamie: I can't say I have a favorite genre, although I do read romance - I also like JR Ward's writing. Favorite author? Too many good ones, and lots of great up and coming new authors.

Louise: Is there anything else you would like to tell the readers we have not touched on?

Jamie: Make sure you've read Tudor Rose first - Tudor Rubato is hawt and mind blowing!

Louise: Where can the readers learn more about you and find your books on the web?

Jamie: Readers can find me on the following sites:

"Tudor Rubato" - Available November 9, 2012!

Having survived a near-death experience all Amadeus Tudor wants to do is escape to the countryside of Scotland with his wife Zara so the two can have some much needed down time together as a couple and work on rebuilding their relationship.  Life for the past couple of years, however has been “a long, strange trip (it’s been)”* for the internationally acclaimed rock star, with no signs of stopping.  (*Grateful Dead - Truckin')

But before the couple can even get away, tragedy hits close to home forcing the couple into almost delaying their new adventure. Grace Tudor, the family matriarch insists the two embark on their new adventure and recommitting to each other immediately.

The change of scenery proves exactly what Amadeus needs to reboot his songwriting and his all encompassing bond with Zara.  Together they embrace their new adventure as slowly Amadeus, with the guidance of music icon, Peter McNichol embarks on what promises to be another notch in Amadeus’ career.

The road is full of twists and turns for the pair as one moment finds them frolicking in the meadows outside Edinburgh to the next learning the shocking and sinister side of one of Amadeus’ own brothers.

I got up, gathered the dishes and put them in the dishwasher before I walked back over to where Amadeus sat, still at the kitchen table. I began to massage his neck and shoulders.
“How does that feel?”
“God you’ve got good hands. That feels wonderful.”
I knew beneath the table Amadeus was hard as granite, the blood running like lava through his veins, and I knew where this was going if I kept touching him.
I moved his hair to one side and began kissing him against the nape of his neck and smiled as a shudder rippled through him.
“Amadeus,” I cooed softly, “would you like to check out our new bedroom?”
It was all the encouragement he needed. Noisily he shoved back his chair and hauled me into his arms. “Why go all the way upstairs to the bedroom, love?”
